  • However, the Price of Kerosene Oil has been jacked up by Rs. 5.78, while the Price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO) will remain unchanged for the next fortnight. As of April 16, 2023, the Pakistani federal government has announced an increase in petrol and kerosene prices for the next two weeks until April 20, 2023. The price of petrol has been increased by Rs. 10 per litre, while the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) will remain unchanged during this period. The price of Kerosene Oil has been raised by Rs. 5.78. This decision will have an impact on the transportation sector, as well as on households that rely on kerosene oil for cooking and lighting.

  • The increase in petrol prices may also lead to an increase in the cost of goods and services as transportation costs are likely to increase. It is important to note that changes in petrol prices can have a ripple effect on the economy, and the government must consider the potential impact of these changes on the population.
  • The government may also consider implementing measures to alleviate the impact of rising fuel prices on the public, such as subsidies or targeted assistance programs.
